Hello Im Delyth, I am here for Big Traumas, little traumas, and all those in-between ones because if something matters to you, if its keeping you stuck, then it matters and its worth talking about and working through. I offer a safe online space with no judgement, lots of empathy as we explore your inner self, your thoughts, emotions and work together to gain a better understanding of yourself and your situation ~ Lets keep it from becoming a crisis and start those conversations early.
About me and my practice
Bestselftherapy.co.uk ~helping you be your best self. Please check out my website for more information about me and what I am about, I havent been counselling for that long really but all paths have led to here - and I do come with lots of varied lived experiences now! plus I am neurodivergent and I am well and truly menopausal. So I totally get those!
I have been on the other side of the counselling couch and understand what it takes to come to counselling, to be open, honest and let yourself be vulnerable - it can be a scary prospect but I also know from my own and my clients experiences that the positives can outweigh any negatives, you can blossom and start to live where before you may have just been existing. To start to have hope. Self care and boundaries are a big thing for me, and I can help you to figure out how to make sure that you are looking after you and finding those things that brings you joy and give you hope. Find your purpose.
Experience
My counselling experience so far has been varied - being with young children in a school setting and with adults at a suicide intervention, prevention and postvention charity project.
~Plus my own private practice where I conduct therapy sessions mostly over zoom or if you are local to me a walk and talk counselling session outside in nature around the beautiful Wirral Peninsula. Getting your steps in as we talk!!
I also have a few spots open for in-person counselling sessions in Birkenhead, Wirral.
I am livingworks ASIST and safeTALK trained ~ a suicide first aider.
I have worked alongside clients with ADHD/AUTISM/OCD, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, PTSD, addiction, disordered eating, grief and more - no two clients are ever the same even if they come with the same presenting issue, so I offer a more bespoke personalised service to fit the exact needs of my clients. Being Integrative means I come with a whole toolbox of therapies that can be utilised.
